From Energy Efficiency to Community Support: EVE Power Hungary Takes Practical Action in Hungary

Aug 07,2026

Prolonged high temperatures have increased pressure on local energy and water resources in Hungary. Against this backdrop, EVE Power Hungary has further strengthened resource management across its operations, with practical measures covering project construction, plant operations and community engagement.

At the Debrecen project, energy and water efficiency has been further integrated into day-to-day site management. The company has optimized the use of air-conditioning, lighting and non-essential electrical equipment, reinforced water-saving practices, and strengthened inspections to identify leaks and equipment issues. Internal communication and on-site management have also been enhanced to ensure that responsible resource use becomes part of everyday operations.

The company has also extended its efforts beyond the workplace. This week, employees of EVE Power Hungary organized a community water distribution initiative at Debrecen railway station, providing drinking water to residents and travellers during the hot weather. The initiative was well received by the public. For EVE Power Hungary, being part of the local community goes beyond investment and employment — it also means understanding local needs and contributing where the company can make a meaningful difference.

At the Szirmabesenyő plant, the company has continued to improve energy efficiency in line with current production needs. Energy use across air-conditioning, lighting and related equipment has been reviewed, while equipment operation and production planning have been adjusted to reduce unnecessary consumption without compromising safety, quality or normal operations. These measures are expected to reduce relevant energy consumption by approximately 18%.

Together, these initiatives reflect EVE Power Hungary’s approach to responsible local operations: improving resource efficiency within its facilities while staying engaged with the communities in which it operates. As the company continues to develop its presence in Hungary, it will further integrate efficient resource management, community engagement and sustainable operations into its long-term local development.
